Dye-Free Pink Valentine's Day Cookie Frosting!


Looking for that perfect Valentine's pink without the artificial food coloring? It's super easy! Here's my basic recipe, and you can tweak it to your liking:

  • 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 4 cups powdered sugar
  • 1-2 Tablespoons coconut milk
  • 1-2 Tablespoons 100% cranberry juice frozen concentrate


  If the frosting seems to thick, add a little more coconut milk or cranberry juice concentrate; if it seems to thin, add a little more powdered sugar. Always go 1 Tablespoon at a time with the liquid ingredients to find the perfect consistency!

  The cranberry adds a refreshing, fruity spark to the frosting, not to mention the beautiful pink color. I'm certain you could achieve similar results with pomegranate or cherry juices as well.
