Balance bikes are on my Best-Of Christmas List because my 4-year-old transitioned straight from his balance bike to a big-kid bicycle, not a training wheel in sight. It is so much easier for children to learn to ride a bicycle without training wheels and they are so confident when it comes time to ride a bike with pedals!
