If you're in need of an infant car seat, I wholeheartedly recommend the Chicco Keyfit 30, which was recommended to us when we took a car seat safety class. It will cost you a bit more than other brands, but it's so worth the investment. We're on kiddo #3 and it's still going strong, and since it's built to accomodate a baby weighing up to 30 lbs, it will likely last the entire first year, and beyond!
