I have three kiddos in car seats and it's one of the few areas I didn't focus on price first. My kiddos' safety was the priority, and I wanted to purchase seats that would last.
Our middle child (2 years old) uses a Britax Roundabout Convertible seat (shown above, left), and it's the seat his older brother used before him. We love it. The cover is easy enough to wash and it's been incredibly durable, considering our "test" subjects are toddler boys. We've used it both rear and forward-facing, and it fit in the tiny quarters of our Corolla's backseat before we got a minivan. Definitely an investment worth every penny.
If you're in the market for a car seat, Amazon currently has Britax seats for all ages at up to 25% off. It's a rare sale on this awesome brand, and if I needed to purchase a seat, I wouldn't hesitate to buy now. Shipping is free, and you aren't going to find these kinds of prices at Babies "R" Us.
Here's just a sampling of the deals:
- Britax Roundabout 55 Convertible Car Seat, Onyx
for $149 (reg. $199)
- Britax Parkway SG Booster Seat, Onyx
for $89 (reg. $119)
- Britax B-Safe Infant Car Seat, Red
for $134 (reg. $179)... Safe for up to 30 lbs., which many infant seats are not. Trust me, this is one feature you will love, as it should last for at least the first year... and my oldest was at the top of the growth charts!
