Just a few of my kiddos' favorite books...

{I sneakily snapped this photo of my older son reading Goodnight Moon after climbing into a toy bin. He was just 2 at the time, and it seems like yesterday. Now he's almost 4!}

One of my favorite moments of the day is when my kiddos take a quiet moment to read a book or two. It's a goal of mine to read even more with my sons, and enjoy the snuggle time it affords! With Christmas shopping on many parents' minds, I thought I'd share a few of my sons' favorite reads. {They are ages 2 and 4.}

Tip Tip Dig Dig is an almost daily read for my two-year-old. It's rhythmic flow makes it easy for even young ones to "read" along.

The ABCs of Rock-I love the nod to Rock 'n Roll royalty, and the boys love the bright graphics. A fun spin on an ABC book!

First 100 Words (Bright Baby) is an awesome book to build vocabulary. My youngest actually got this book last Christmas, and he flips through it almost every day. It's so empowering for him to know the names of all the pictures!

Wiggle-Waggle Woof: Counting Sled Dogs in Alaska was a gift from a friend's visit to Alaska, and it's a fun way to teach counting. Lots of cool information about sled dogs, too! My boys love the, "Wiggle-waggle, wiggle-waggle, woof, woof, woof!" chorus.

Time for Bed has been a favorite bedtime read of my kiddos since they were babies. Beautiful pictures!

The Complete Tales of Winnie-The-Pooh-No children's home library would be complete without Winne-The-Pooh, and this book has everything. There's a reason classic books span generations.

Beatrix Potter The Complete Tales (see above). Sometimes I feel like I have a few Peter Rabbits of my own, getting into mischief all day! The The World of Peter Rabbit and Friends: Beatrix Potter on DVD makes for a great companion, and has long been a favorite movie in our home. As a plus, the storyline and music have a very calming effect (something a mom of two crazy sons can appreciate).

Mr. and Mrs. Noah (Lois Lenski Books)-My older son's name is Noah, so you can imagine we have quite a collection of Noah stories. I found this gem at Half Price Books a few years ago, and it's quirky illustrations are just the best.

... and, if you're looking for a children's Bible, The Jesus Storybook Bible: Every Story Whispers His Name is simply the best!

This is just a few of our more current favorites. I'd love to hear what books your kiddo(s) holds dear, or what your favorite childhood reads were!
