When it comes to success in couponing, persistance pays off. In this case, a five-minute phone call to Rite Aid is all it takes. Let me explain:
Yesterday, my trip to Rite Aid consisted of only six items, all of which would be free (and even moneymakers). Or, so I thought. Here was my transaction:
(2) Dial of Men bodywash, on sale for $3.99 each
Receive a $2 +UP Reward when you buy one (limit 2)
Used two, $2/1 coupons (previously available on Facebook)
Final price: Both for FREE!
(2) Snapware lunch canisters, $3.75 with my 20% discount (reg. $4.69)
Snapware 10-cup canister, $5.59 with my 20% discount (reg. $6.99)
Snapware large square canister, $5.59 with my 20% discount (reg. $6.99)
Receive a $5 +UP Reward when you buy one (limit 4)*
Used two, $2/1 coupons (8/19 SS)
Final price: FREE, plus a $5.32 moneymaker!*
*So I thought. When I looked at the receipt, I only received one $5 +UP Reward, and there was a running total indicating how close I was to my $15 Snapware threshold:
So, I called Rite Aid and after speaking with a friendly representative, I will be getting a $15 Rite Aid gift card in the mail to compensate for the missing +UP Rewards. No begging, no hassle.
The Snapware is part of a regional ad, so not all of you will be able to score a similar deal. If you did receive this extra ad, you will definitley want to take advantage of all the great Snapware deals you can score. There are many pieces priced at less than $5, and many that will be free and/or moneymakers after the coupon and Reward, especially if you have a Wellness+ discount!
I'd love to hear what you think! If there's an inconsistency with ads and actual +UP Rewards, how do you like to handle the situation?
