While clearance deals and manager's specials are usually very specific to a certain store, it's sometimes worth mentioning a good deal in the hopes that it can be found at other stores, too! I made a quick trip to Safeway last night for some milk, and checked the clearance racks (as always)... and score!
I found some stock-up prices on canned coconut milk and kidney beans, neither of which expire until 2015. That makes me think they are being phased out for newer designs, or just completely. I'd say it's worth checking your local Safeway's clearance rack, usually located near the entrance to the back room or next to the dairy section, just in case!
