my Rite Aid trip (because we ran out of toilet paper)!

This week was about the bare necessities; that "how did we run out of toilet paper?" kind of trip. I mean, aren't couponers supposed to have a giant stockpile of TP at all times? {I sort-of did, after that really great FREE TP promotion last year at Rite Aid, which was before they began regularly putting limits on +UP Rewards.}

  But, I just haven't seen a stock-up price in ages and... we ran out. So, I resigned myself to a less than stellar price and just bought what was on sale. At least I had some +UP Rewards to use!
Charmin 12-count bath tissue, $5.77
(2) Physician's Formula Eye Definer eye pencils, $4.40 (with my 20% Wellness+ discount; regularly $5.50)
Softsoap liquid hand soap, $2.99
Used the $0.25/1 Charmin coupon (5/13 PG)
and used two, $1/1 Physician's Formula coupons (3/18 SS)
and used a $3 +UP Reward from previous week
Paid $12.31 (plus tax) out of pocket and received back $10 in +UP Rewards
Final price: $2.31!

  It was nice to score some moneymaking eye pencils, and I will probably go back and pick up another hand soap, since $0.99 after +UP Reward is hard to beat. You can find all of the Rite Aid matchups for the week here.

I'd love to hear from you: do you ever find it hard to pay more than a stock-up price for the necessities?
