If you love to cook like myself then you probably have mounds of tattered recipe cards, loose written recipes, and cookbooks overflowing in you kitchen or office. Maybe it is just me, but I was starting to get very annoyed at my not so practical recipe organization system. Everytime I attempt to make my mother's "special" cookies, or my husbands' favorite crepes it was a struggle to find out where I tucked the recipe last. Thankfully, I was chosen to review a very practical, easy to use recipe organization software called Cook n' Recipe Organizer.
The Cook n' Recipe Organizer is a wonderful tool that allows you to capture recipes from almost any source-even online sites like All Recipes, Recipezaar, and Food Network recipes can be downloaded into your Cook N' Recipe Organizer. You can also input handwritten recipes, and purchase recipes from the Cook n' Recipe Book store. With the purchase of this software you also get one FREE recipe book download.
Some of the functions that I personally adore with this software is the fact that you can plan your daily, weekly, or monthly menu by recipe with the menu planner tool. All you have to do is simply browse, drag, and drop your favorite recipes into the day that you would like to serve them. There is also a feature where you can adjust the serving size of each meal by the amount of people you will be serving. You can also get the cost per menu item, and make a grocery list of the ingredients you will need to complete a meal.
If you are having guests over, and they really enjoy your lasagna meal you can print out a 3x5, 4x6, or full-page copy of your recipe. I know around the holidays I pull out certain recipes that are specifically used on Christmas, or Thanksgiving-this software allows you to categorize your recipes by seasons so you have no troubles finding them in the future.
If you are worried that you may not be too technologically advanced to use this program, no frets because there are handy tutorials, and videos that can get you up to speed in no time. I had no troubles downloading the software, and it took me only about 30 minutes to learn how to work the overall program. I would urge you to consider buying this product if you would like a much more savvy way of storing, and accessing your recipes. Luckily the company has given me access to another copy so one lucky fan can get their very own copy of the program for FREE.
