I made a trip to Albertsons last night to take advantage of the great gift card promotion, in which you'll get a coupon for $20 off your next grocery purchase when you buy $100 in select gift cards.
{We need new tires for our van*, so we're taking advantage of Sears' Black Friday promotion ($100 Sears gift card when you buy four tires, plus an additional mail-in rebate). We've already planned to make this big purchase, so we picked up $600 in Sears gift cards to cover the tires, alignment and a new battery (yikes!). We ended up with $120 in free groceries, plus it earned us another $5 bonus from my Albertsons Preferred Card. I know this isn't for everyone, but it's a great way to squeeze some extra savings out of a bigger, planned purchase!}
I happened to notice that Albertsons had their Pampers Cruisers boxes on clearance for $14.99. This isn't the most amazing price ever, but it does beat Amazon. Here's the deal I got after the gift card promotion:
Pampers Cruisers, size 4 (68 count), $14.99
Pampers Cruisers, size 5 (58 count), $14.99
Used two, $2.00/1 coupons (10/30 PG; expires 11/30!)
Used the $20 gift card promotion coupon
and used the $5 Preferred Card bonus
Final price: $0.98, or only $0.49 per box!! Can you believe it?!
So, if you a) already plan to purchase gift cards for gifts, big purchases, etc. and b) have a kiddo(s) in diapers, this one amazing deal!
