...this is why I coupon. Your formula may look a little different (add a car payment, subtract the diapers), but the common denominators of debt and life's little necessities remain. By spending less on the latter-toilet paper, toothpaste-you can "spend" more on your monthly bills, whatever they may be. As many couponers before me would agree, financial freedom is the goal.
That being said, I'm a competitive person. (If you know me, you're probably getting a chuckle out of this understatement right now). Saving money is challenging, but so very thrilling. Scoring free items necessitate a victory dance. Maybe this sounds a tad silly, but the best part is the ability to be generous with your sudden influx of resources. Seriously! A recent coupon and sale combination led to eight free tubes of toothpaste. We didn't need them all, so six went to my parents and brothers. Boom! Generosity.
This couponing thing is easy, and I'll prove it. I wanted a place to document my couponing adventures in 2011; hence, this blog. I know there are many, many coupon sites out there. I am a huge fan of several, and I'm way out of their league. My shopping abilities are limited by two "crazies" (an affectionate term I use for my two sons, ages 2 and 4 months). I try to plan my shopping trips to be as quick and hassle-free as possible, so I am in and out of a store before the gummy snacks run out. If this sounds like your life, hi! I promise to make this as simple as possible, ok?
