I've previously raved and raved about balance bikes here on How2Coupon, but now I have a full-fledged testimony to go along with all the praise!
My oldest son, who turned 4 in December, has been splitting time between his balance bike and a bicycle with training wheels. After the typical protesting of a 4-year-old, he hopped on his now training-wheel-free bike on Monday and he rode that bike like a pro. It was all we could do to get him to stop riding that bike once the sun went down.
All that to say, if you have young kiddos, you need a balance bicycle. If you start early enough, you can bi-pass training wheels altogether. Today on Zulily, Smart Gear balance bikes are on sale up to 50% off, which is an awesome deal.
